What happened: Panthers general manager Dan Morgan appeared on NFL Network's 'The Insiders' with Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero to walk through Carolina's offseason. Morgan addressed the team's draft calls, the direction of the defense and what comes next for quarterback Bryce Young.

Why it matters: Young's developmental arc remains the central question in Carolina, and Morgan's public framing of his future shapes expectations heading into the 2026 season. Comments about the defense and the draft class also signal how aggressively the Panthers plan to retool after another rebuild cycle.

What to watch: Watch for follow-up reporting from Rapoport and Pelissero on any contract extension timeline for Young, plus how Morgan's stated defensive priorities translate into depth-chart moves through OTAs.
