What happened: The Florida Panthers recalled forward Jack Devine from the AHL's Charlotte Checkers on Sunday. The 23-year-old winger rejoins the NHL roster to provide offensive depth.

Why it matters: Devine was a seventh-round draft selection by Florida in 2022 before winning two national titles at Denver. His promotion gives the Panthers another scoring option on the wing as they manage early-season lineup demands.

What to watch: Devine will practice with the Panthers ahead of their upcoming regular-season schedule.
