What happened: Florida sent forward Sam Lafferty to its American Hockey League affiliate in Charlotte. Cole Schwindt joins the NHL roster in the corresponding move.

Why it matters: The swap keeps Florida covered at forward while keeping both players on active rosters. Lafferty stays available in Charlotte while Schwindt gives Florida an immediate extra option.

What to watch: Florida's next game-day roster will show whether Schwindt dresses. Charlotte's next lineup will show where Lafferty slots.
