What happened: Ottawa signed head coach Travis Green to a multi-year contract extension. The agreement also extends the Senators coaching staff.

Why it matters: The decision secures continuity behind the bench early in the 2026-27 regular season. It keeps Green's program in place as Ottawa works through the schedule.

What to watch: Ottawa continues the 2026-27 schedule under Green and his staff.
