What happened: The Carolina Panthers signed free agent tight end Caden Prieskorn on Thursday. The move fills an open roster spot and follows the team agreeing to terms with outside linebacker Cam Gill earlier in the day.

Why it matters: Prieskorn provides training camp depth as Carolina continues evaluating its roster ahead of the 2026 season. He brings recent experience from four different organizations, spending parts of 2025 with the Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Cleveland Browns.

What to watch: Prieskorn will compete for a rotational role or practice squad assignment as the preseason schedule approaches.
