What happened: The Carolina Panthers signed undrafted free agent wide receiver Malick Meiga to their 90-man roster on Monday. Meiga, a Montreal native, fills the roster spot vacated by waived rookie tight end Heinrich Haarberg.

Why it matters: Meiga brings significant size to a revamped receiving group that has been a focal point of the team's offseason reconstruction. His addition provides another tall target for the offense as Carolina enters its mandatory minicamp phase.

What to watch: Meiga will join the team for minicamp this week as he competes for a depth role and special teams contribution.
