What happened: Carolina trimmed its tackle depth on the 53-man roster. The move follows Saturday transactions that set the game-day lineup at Philadelphia.

Why it matters: Offensive line depth determines game-day protection options through the season grind. An open spot gives Carolina flexibility to add a lineman or address another position.

What to watch: Carolina's next roster move will show how it uses the vacancy.
