What happened: The lightweight bout headlined UFC Paris at Accor Arena. Parnasse improved to 24-2 with the victory.

Why it matters: The result backs Parnasse's billing as one of MMA's top talents outside the UFC. Beating the division's No. 10 fighter makes him a candidate for another ranked matchup.

By the numbers: Parnasse's stoppage was one of five KO/TKO results on the 10-bout card, including three in Round 1.

What to watch: The next rankings update and Parnasse's second UFC booking will show how quickly the promotion advances him.
