What happened: New England opened this week coming off a win over Las Vegas. The next date is a home game against New York on Sunday. Returning players from injured reserve leave the staff with paired activation and roster spot calls.

Why it matters: A division date at home offers a chance to hold early momentum. Activation timing will determine which units get reinforcements and who sits to make room.

What to watch: Practice participation and transaction filings will show which injured-reserve players are closest to returning before Sunday.
