What happened: Pauline Astier earned 2026 WNBA All-Rookie Team honors after a debut season in Brooklyn. She averaged 9.3 points, 3.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds. The selection followed an early scoring milestone during her first year.

Why it matters: The honor identifies Astier as a productive first-year contributor at guard. Her assist-to-rebound profile shows creation beyond scoring. That two-way rookie production matters for October rotation depth and next-season planning.

By the numbers: 9.3 PPG, 3.3 APG, 2.7 RPG in debut season in Brooklyn.

What to watch: Watch her postseason minutes and offensive initiation role. Offseason focus shifts to second-year development.
