What happened: New Orleans Pelicans head coach Jamahl Mosley spoke with reporters during team media availability on Friday. Mosley stressed a collective, committee-driven approach that enabled New Orleans to rebound from a winless opening week.

Why it matters: The recent surge stabilized New Orleans after early-season offensive struggles threatened the start of the schedule. Climbing back to .500 keeps the Pelicans firmly positioned within the Western Conference play-in tier.

By the numbers: New Orleans is 4-4 through eight games in 2026-27, ranking 10th in the Western Conference on an active four-game winning streak capped by a 120-113 victory over the Utah Jazz on Nov. 4.

What to watch: The Pelicans prepare to open NBA Cup group play looking to extend their winning run to five games.
