Stefanski: Penix will start Sunday as long as everything goes accordingly. #Falcons Via @marcraimondi on X

What happened: Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is expected to start Sunday if the week proceeds without a setback, head coach Kevin Stefanski said. The plan follows limited practice work while managing a rib injury.

Why it matters: Penix was inactive for the opener and has been working back into the lineup this month. He took his first full week of first-team reps to open October after telling Stefanski he wanted to start.

What to watch: Remaining practice participation will determine his official game status. Sunday warmups will confirm whether the conditional plan holds.
