Opener tips Oct. 15 after August roster switch

Ryan Petrik believes WNBA star Georgia Amoore will be the main cog in the machine, as Perth gears up for a big season 💥 Via @WNBL on X

What happened: Petrik outlined a central on-ball role for Amoore ahead of preseason camp. Amoore arrived in August as the replacement for Sami Whitcomb.

Why it matters: Perth reshuffled its backcourt late in the offseason, raising the stakes on the import guard spot. A lead role would shape late-game responsibility from the Oct. 15 opener.

By the numbers: Amoore tied Cynthia Cooper for ninth on the all-time rookie three-pointers list with her second triple Sept. 24.

What to watch: Perth opens WNBL27 play Oct. 15 live on 9Now.
