What happened: PFF named its "dream acquisition" for three contenders ahead of the NFL trade deadline: running back Jonathan Taylor for Denver, quarterback Kirk Cousins for Minnesota and receiver Josh Downs for Pittsburgh. The picks come from PFF's rundown of every team's biggest needs.

Why it matters: Denver is 6-2 and on a four-game win streak, Pittsburgh is 6-2 and also riding four straight wins, and Minnesota is 6-1 after a 19-15 loss at Detroit on Nov. 1. Indianapolis paused talks on Taylor on Thursday, and Cincinnati has been reported weighing the market for Taylor and Downs.

By the numbers: Taylor has 148 carries for 610 yards and 8 touchdowns in 2026 through 8 games. Downs has 30 catches for 330 yards and 1 touchdown in 2026 through 8 games. Cousins has completed 180 of 283 passes for 2,124 yards, 19 touchdowns and 5 interceptions in 2026 through 8 games.

What to watch: The trade deadline arrives Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. ET. Minnesota starts Carson Wentz on Monday night.
