What happened: Pickens and Porter Jr. are back on the same roster in Dallas three years after their last run as teammates. The reunion follows the Cowboys' completed move for Porter Jr. earlier Thursday.

Why it matters: Dallas has already used 12 defensive backs through three games, so another corner carries immediate roster value. It also extends Dallas' recent run of adding premium picks with two games packed into five days.

By the numbers: By the numbers: three years separate their last stint as teammates and this Cowboys reunion. Dallas has cycled through 12 defensive backs in three games this season.

What to watch: Sunday against the Texans is the next checkpoint for Porter Jr.'s Cowboys debut after Dallas held him out of Thursday's game in Cleveland.
