What happened: The Detroit Pistons visit the New York Knicks on Tuesday, October 27, while the Los Angeles Lakers host the Portland Trail Blazers on the Coast 2 Coast Tuesday broadcast. NBA TV and the NBA App will also carry studio coverage on The Association across the evening slate.

Why it matters: The showcase continues the league's Tuesday national window on NBC and Peacock during the opening stretch of the 2026-27 regular season. Pairing an Eastern Conference opener in New York with a Western Conference matchup in Los Angeles anchors the networks' coast-to-coast programming.

What to watch: Action opens with Detroit at New York at 8:00 PM ET before shifting to Portland at Los Angeles.
