What happened: Brandin Podziemski was the standout offensive player during Friday's open scrimmage, attacking aggressively, finishing through contact and hitting several jumpers. Steve Kerr said three days into camp, Podziemski has put together a strong start.

Why it matters: The timing matters with the preseason opener set for Sunday and Podziemski already taking prominent camp reps. Another strong outing would reinforce the early momentum for the same Podziemski who opened the Hawaii scrimmage with the blue group as rotation roles take shape.

What to watch: Sunday's exhibition is the next check on whether that aggressive scoring carries from camp into game action.
