What happened: Las Vegas sent Tyree Wilson and a seventh-round pick to New Orleans on Day 3 of the 2026 draft for No. 150. New Orleans used that return on Arizona safety Dalton Johnson, while Iowa cornerback TJ Hall went at No. 219 and now sits on the Saints practice squad. Wilson played 30 percent of the defensive snaps in Week 1, then no defensive snaps and 10 special-teams snaps in Week 2.

Why it matters: Wilson never moved past rotational work in Las Vegas, starting 7 times across three seasons before his fifth-year option went unexercised. Johnson has been a healthy scratch twice but could dress Sunday if Treydan Stukes remains in concussion protocol.

What to watch: Sunday in New Orleans will show whether Wilson re-enters the defensive rotation and whether Johnson dresses for the first time.
