What happened: San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan announced Friday that Nick Bosa has been fully cleared to play Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. The defensive end carries no injury designation following a five-game absence caused by a calf injury.

Why it matters: Bosa's return strengthens a 6-1 San Francisco defense that leads the NFC West and holds the conference's top seed. The 49ers aim to bounce back from their first loss in six weeks against a 4-4 Las Vegas squad.

What to watch: San Francisco faces Las Vegas on Sunday, with Bosa set to rejoin the starting defensive line.
