What happened: Head coach Sean McVay told reporters that Puka Nacua cut his Thursday practice short because he could not generate full power and explosion on his calf, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Rapoport added that the calf issue is believed to be minor rather than a significant injury.

Why it matters: The setback follows a September groin injury that also kept Nacua out of practice and forced a game-time decision earlier this season. With the receiving corps already dealing with health questions, Los Angeles is expected to explore the wide receiver trade market ahead of the Nov. 10 deadline, per Pro Football Rumors.

By the numbers: Los Angeles sits 14th in the conference standings on a two-game losing streak following an 18-16 defeat on Oct. 18. Drafted 177th overall in the fifth round in 2023 out of BYU, Nacua previously exited an Aug. 11 practice early with the training staff before his September groin issue and Thursday's calf tightness.

What to watch: Rams staff will evaluate Nacua during Sunday's pregame warmups before finalizing his active status prior to kickoff.
