What happened: Marcus Rashford told reporters his assist to Robert Lewandowski reflects the role Barcelona signed him for: helping the club win titles. The England forward added that Barça are 'close to arriving first at the finish line of La Liga,' per Fabrizio Romano. The comments come as the Catalans hold a commanding lead in the title race.

Why it matters: Rashford's loan move was framed as a high-stakes audition, and his public buy-in matters as Barcelona pushes to close out the league. His chemistry with Lewandowski has been a key story of the season, with the pair combining repeatedly in attack. A La Liga triumph would validate the gamble on both sides and shape any conversation about a permanent transfer.

What to watch: Watch Barcelona's remaining La Liga fixtures and whether Rashford continues to feature heavily alongside Lewandowski. Any update on a permanent move beyond the current loan will be the next major thread.
