What happened: Barcelona manager Hansi Flick publicly praised Marcus Rashford, telling reporters he appreciates the forward "very much" and called his season "fantastic." Flick cited Rashford's numbers as the basis for his gratitude, per Fabrizio Romano. The comments arrive as Rashford continues his loan-spell revival at Camp Nou.

Why it matters: The endorsement matters because Rashford's long-term future remains the subject of cross-club speculation between Barcelona and his parent club. A public vote of confidence from Flick — newly extended through 2028 — strengthens the case for a permanent stay. It also follows Rashford's first league title with Barcelona after the Clásico triumph.
