What happened: The Baltimore Ravens officially signed six-time Pro Bowl defensive end Calais Campbell to a one-year deal, per Adam Schefter. Campbell previously played for the Ravens from 2020 to 2022 before stints elsewhere. The team confirmed the signing publicly through beat reporters including Aaron Wilson.

Why it matters: Campbell brings veteran interior pass-rush and run-defense help to a Ravens front that is retooling for the 2026 season. His return reunites him with a defensive scheme he knows well, offering immediate locker-room leadership and rotational snaps. The signing fits a broader NFL trend of teams adding proven veterans on short-term deals during the post-draft window.

What to watch: Watch for Campbell's role designation in OTAs and whether Baltimore continues to add veteran defensive line depth before training camp. Contract terms beyond the one-year length have not been disclosed.
