What happened: The Cleveland Browns waived tight end Carsen Ryan on Thursday. The transaction comes one day after the team signed him to the active roster on Wednesday.

Why it matters: Ryan was selected by Cleveland in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft out of BYU. His departure creates an open spot on the 53-man roster as the team adjusts its depth chart.

What to watch: Ryan will now head to waivers, where another team can claim him before he becomes eligible to return to the practice squad.
