What happened: Fabrizio Romano confirmed the UEFA Conference League final pairing: Rayo Vallecano against Crystal Palace. The two clubs advanced through their respective semi-final ties to set up a one-off showpiece for the third-tier European trophy.

Why it matters: It is a landmark occasion for both sides. Rayo Vallecano, a perennial mid-table La Liga club, are within reach of their first major European trophy, while Crystal Palace have never lifted continental silverware and only recently established themselves as a regular European participant. A win would be a club-defining moment for either side.

What to watch: Watch for the official kickoff date, venue confirmation, and ticket allocations from UEFA. Team news around availability — including Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze, who recently confirmed no serious injury — will be the next key beat ahead of the final.
