What happened: The Los Angeles Lakers trail 101-89 late in an in-progress preseason game. Austin Reaves carries the offense with a game-high 28 points, going 4-of-7 from three while the rest of the team is 5-of-27.

Why it matters: The three-point gap accounts for the deficit despite Reaves adding 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Preseason shooting splits offer an early rhythm check ahead of the 2026-27 season.

What to watch: Watch whether the supporting shooters find rhythm before the close and how Reaves minutes are managed to the finish.
