What happened: Dave Roberts said Shohei Ohtani stayed late at Dodger Stadium working on his swing. Roberts called Ohtani determined and the ultimate team player.

Why it matters: Los Angeles dropped the first two games of the NLCS. Ohtani told the club he is well enough to help and will start Game 3. His timing at the plate now carries the series push.

What to watch: Game 3 will show his swing adjustments and his place in the order.
