What happened: The NBA China Games 2026 open Friday, Oct. 9 in Macao with Houston facing Dallas in the first game of the trip. Kevin Durant is listed with the Rockets and Cooper Flagg with the Mavericks for the opener, which is scheduled for 8 a.m. ET on NBA TV.

Why it matters: The Macao stop gives both clubs an early international showcase ahead of the 2026-27 season. For Dallas, it extends a preseason ramp that began when the Mavericks began workouts at SMU with Cooper Flagg in town last month.

By the numbers: Dallas and Houston are slated for two Macao dates, Oct. 9 and Oct. 11. Friday's opener is listed for 8 a.m. ET on NBA TV.

What to watch: Watch for roster availability as the Oct. 9 opener gets closer. The second Macao game is set for Oct. 11.
