What happened: Houston listed center Steven Adams as out with a right soleus strain and guard Marcus Smart as questionable with a left forearm strain, per KL Chouinard.

Why it matters: Adams' absence removes a veteran interior presence from the frontcourt rotation, while Smart's status leaves backcourt depth in flux after he joined the Rockets via free-agent signing.

What to watch: Houston will confirm Smart's final availability ahead of tipoff.
