What happened: Fans filled the area at 20th and Blake as Colorado added a permanent Todd Helton monument outside the ballpark. The dedication gave the franchise a new public landmark tied to one of its signature names.

Why it matters: The ceremony adds another piece of club history in a season when the Rockies have spent more time chasing the division than shaping it. It also extends the focus on franchise identity a day after the Rockies unveiled Todd Helton's statue at Coors Field.

What to watch: Seattle is scheduled in Denver next, turning the focus back to Colorado's on-field slate after the ceremony weekend.
