What happened: MLB decided to close both the roof and panels for tonight's scheduled postseason opener, granting the configuration the Milwaukee Brewers desired, per Bob Nightengale.

Why it matters: Sealing the ballpark shields the field and crowd from an overcast evening as outdoor readings drop into the 50s. Operating indoors removes weather variables before the opener begins at 0-0.

What to watch: Game 1 is scheduled to get underway tonight under the closed roof and panels.
