A ten-second wait for Russell in the pit box before his crew can get to work... 🔧 The Mercedes driver comes back out on Via @F1 on X

What happened: George Russell served a mandatory 10-second time penalty during his lap 34 pit stop at the Mexico City Grand Prix. Mercedes mechanics waited out the hold before servicing the car, returning him to the track in eighth position.

Why it matters: Stewards penalized Russell for an opening-lap collision that spun Red Bull's Isack Hadjar at Turn 6. The delay cost track position after Russell had started on the front row alongside Lewis Hamilton.

What to watch: Russell faces 37 remaining laps at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez to mount a recovery drive.
