What happened: The New Orleans Saints activated offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. and wide receiver Jordyn Tyson on Saturday ahead of their Week 9 matchup with the Cleveland Browns. New Orleans also elevated kicker Charlie Smyth and running back Zamir White, while waiving running back Kendre Miller and tight end Treyton Welch. Tyson was placed on injured reserve in August before being cleared for his regular-season debut.

Why it matters: Activating Tyson and Banks injects two first-round selections into the lineup for a Saints squad that sits at 2-5 through seven games. Waiving Miller ends the 2023 third-round pick's tenure in New Orleans after he posted 159 rushing yards and two touchdowns through six appearances this season. The roster turnover reshapes the depth chart as New Orleans aims to recover from a 10-16 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

What to watch: The Saints face the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, where Tyson is set to make his NFL debut while Banks remains questionable with an ankle injury.
