What happened: The New Orleans Saints marked the 60th anniversary of the franchise's founding on Sunday. The NFL officially awarded the city an expansion franchise on Nov. 1, 1966.

Why it matters: The milestone comes during a celebratory campaign in which the team organized 60th anniversary coin giveaways for home spectators. On the field, New Orleans stands at 2-5 through seven games in 2026 following a 16-10 defeat against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

What to watch: The Saints look to halt a one-game slide as they navigate the middle stretch of their 2026 regular-season schedule.
