What happened: Backup goaltender Samuel Ersson delivered two strong consecutive performances in net for the Ottawa Senators. His efforts provided timely stability in the crease during a demanding stretch.

Why it matters: Dependable secondary goaltending remains vital for managing workload across an 82-game regular season. Reliable play from the backup position stabilizes defensive structure and helps Ottawa secure critical points.

What to watch: Ottawa looks to see if Ersson can maintain this level of performance in his next rotation in the crease.
