What happened: The Seattle Seahawks signed rookie defensive tackle Deven Eastern off their practice squad to the active roster ahead of Sunday's matchup. Eastern fills the open roster spot created after Seattle released running back Velus Jones Jr. to the practice squad. Seattle also elevated tackle Bobby Hart and wide receiver Montorie Foster Jr. for the game.

Why it matters: The promotion marks an active-roster breakthrough for Eastern, whom Seattle selected 242nd overall in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL draft out of Minnesota. Eastern spent part of training camp on the sideline after Seattle placed him on the PUP list in July. His addition fortifies interior defensive line depth as the Seahawks manage their rotation entering the second half of the season.

What to watch: Eastern is in line to make his NFL regular-season debut on Sunday. Seattle will confirm its game-day inactives 90 minutes prior to kickoff.
