What happened: Sean Sheehan floated Fleetwood as a side capable of beating Arsenal in a head-to-head cup tie.

Why it matters: Premier League clubs routinely rotate out their first-team starters in domestic cup rounds against lower-tier opposition. Arsenal reached the Champions League final in May and balance a congested schedule alongside ongoing contract talks with Declan Rice, while Fleetwood Town added Welsh forward Josh Thomas and extended defender Shaun Rooney on two-year deals.

What to watch: Arsenal's upcoming cup team sheet will show how heavily Mikel Arteta rotates his starting lineup.
