What happened: Shakira Austin earned a spot on the 2026 All-WNBA Second Team as the league completed its annual postseason honors slate on Saturday.

Why it matters: The all-league recognition pairs with her 2026 WNBA All-Defensive First Team selection on Oct. 15, distinguishing her as a two-way honoree on both ends of the floor.

By the numbers: Austin's 2026 scoring bursts included a 19-point half on Aug. 1 and a game-high 16-point first half on Aug. 9.

What to watch: Focus now turns to offseason preparation ahead of the upcoming 2027 WNBA season.
