What happened: On Nightcap, Shannon Sharpe said the confrontation came after the game ended with helmets off. Sharpe and Johnson said Jackson closed the distance and landed a short punch as postgame tempers flared.

Why it matters: Sharpe said a post-whistle swing brings discipline risk apart from in-game action. Johnson said emotion drove a losing-side flare-up that lives on once posted publicly.

What to watch: Sharpe said the exchange that sparked the swing remains unclear and could emerge from Jackson.
