What happened: Igor Shesterkin sustained an injury that drew immediate concern from teammates, who described the goaltender as a 'pillar on the back end.' In a separate development, C-Mac finalized another trade.

Why it matters: While an official diagnosis is pending, observers noted the play looked similar to Brad Marchand's recent injury, which carried a projected six-week recovery. An extended absence would significantly test organizational depth.

What to watch: Medical evaluations will determine Shesterkin's official recovery timeline and playing status.
