What happened: Jake Fischer says the pick is Philadelphia’s second-most favorable of three 2027 second-rounders. The move puts the Sixers one player below the regular-season roster limit.

Why it matters: Philadelphia gains room to add LeBron James and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope while staying under the first-apron hard cap. Los Angeles takes on Broome and adds another future draft asset.

By the numbers: Broome appeared in 11 NBA games last season. He averaged 21.8 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists across 26 G League games, then posted 14.7 points and 9.0 rebounds over three Las Vegas Summer League appearances.

What to watch: The Clippers will evaluate whether Broome can secure a role on their 2026-27 roster.
