What happened: Sporting Kansas City appointed Sebastian Stein, Kevin Geary and Francisco Belo as vice presidents on its technical staff. Stein was previously with Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund, Geary with Bristol Bears and England Rugby, and Belo with Nottingham Forest, Wolves and Everton.

Why it matters: The moves add experience from German soccer, English rugby and English soccer to Kansas City's soccer operations. Recruitment, human performance and data analysis are core functions for roster building and player availability. The appointments reshape the technical leadership group around those areas.

What to watch: Watch for Sporting Kansas City to outline each vice president's responsibilities and reporting structure. Further technical staff additions could follow.
