What happened: Eli Junior Kroupi said his objective is the France national team, adding he does not see himself toward a culture he does not know. He was also eligible for Portugal and the Ivory Coast. He returned from injury during the final against Manchester United.

Why it matters: The choice settles his dual-eligibility question in favor of France. It leaves Portugal and the Ivory Coast out of the picture for the Bournemouth forward.

What to watch: His next club selections will show how quickly he is reintegrated after injury.
