What happened: SportsCenter posted a clip captioned "CAITLIN CLARK BEHIND-THE-BACK" from Indiana's May 9 season opener against Dallas. The highlight came in Clark's first regular-season game since July 15, putting one of the WNBA's most-watched stars back in the middle of opening-day conversation. Social reactions quickly framed it as another signature Clark moment.

Why it matters: The play reinforced the spotlight on Caitlin Clark's return and on Indiana in one of the WNBA's marquee opening-day matchups. For league watchers, every early Clark flash mattered because the Fever entered the game as a clear favorite and a major draw on national TV. It also fit the broader attention around a star-heavy Fever-Wings matchup featuring multiple recent No. 1 picks.

What to watch: Watch whether Clark's workload and movement stay strong as Indiana moves deeper into the opening stretch. Also watch whether the Fever's market outlook shifts after the opener against a Dallas team built around Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd and Arike Ogunbowale.
