What happened: Joe Burrow is the only repeat leader, topping the 2021 and 2022 lists. Josh Allen led in 2023 before Lamar Jackson posted a 94.9 in 2024.

Why it matters: The 300-dropback minimum limits the comparison to quarterbacks with substantial workloads. Five players accounted for the six annual leads from 2020 through 2025.

By the numbers: Annual leaders: Aaron Rodgers, 95.1 in 2020; Joe Burrow, 91.8 in 2021 and 92.0 in 2022; Josh Allen, 92.1 in 2023; Lamar Jackson, 94.9 in 2024; Matthew Stafford, 92.0 in 2025. The highest and lowest marks are separated by 3.3 points.

What to watch: Stafford enters 2026 with a chance to become the first consecutive leader since Burrow.
