What happened: The Pittsburgh Steelers and cornerback Joey Porter Jr. remain at an impasse, according to NFL GameDay Morning. Meanwhile, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. could make his debut Thursday against the Green Bay Packers.

Why it matters: Pittsburgh has drawn no serious trade interest for Porter despite seeking first-round value. In Atlanta, Penix's potential start follows news that the Falcons will keep Tua Tagovailoa, who is managing an oblique injury, on the roster.

What to watch: Watch for Pittsburgh's next move with Porter, and whether Atlanta officially names Penix the starter for Thursday.
