What happened: Twenty-eight NBA teams will take the court across a 14-game slate Wednesday. The Golden State Warriors and Orlando Magic are the only two franchises with an off day. Both teams last played Monday, giving each squad two full days off before their next scheduled contests.

Why it matters: The rest comes during a hot stretch for Golden State, which improved to 5-3 on the season following five consecutive victories. Orlando seeks time to regroup after dropping a 103-94 decision against the Washington Wizards on Monday.

What to watch: With nearly the entire league in action, 14 games across Wednesday will shift early standings in both conferences. Golden State and Orlando return to action later in the week.
