What happened: Per Stein, the deadline for the 2023 draft class to sign rookie-scale extensions is approaching. Only four players from the class have agreed to new deals so far. The situations of Scoot Henderson and Bilal Coulibaly remain unclear.

Why it matters: Extensions would keep each team's 2023 pick under contract beyond the rookie deal. Unclear situations leave two lottery picks without resolution heading into the deadline.

What to watch: Watch whether the four reported frontrunners finalize deals before the deadline. Henderson and Coulibaly outcomes will settle the rest of the 2023 class.
