What happened: Kwan used crisp footwork in the outfield to deliver an accurate one-hop strike to the plate, where the catcher applied the tag in time to retire the runner.

Why it matters: Entering his final year of club control, the same Steven Kwan who logged his sixth outfield assist of the season on June 21 continues to reinforce his offseason valuation through elite perimeter defense.

What to watch: Gold Glove Award winners will be announced after the World Series as Kwan approaches his final season of arbitration eligibility.
