What happened: Jayson Tatum endorsed the TD Garden crowd's assessment of his teammate after the chants rang out. "They know what winning basketball is," Tatum said of the reception for Derrick White.

Why it matters: The recognition highlights White's standing alongside Tatum immediately after White was cleared to play Tuesday. Earlier offseason discussions had explored potential moves involving White while prioritizing the existing core.

What to watch: White and Tatum continue the opening stretch of the 2026-27 regular season following White's return to active duty.
